A future where every African nation shapes and sustains an education system rooted in its own identity and values and delivers improved learning outcomes.
Who we are
Core Values
Rigour
Evidence, data and professional analysis drive what we do.
Ownership
Reform belongs to governments and to national institutions. We work inside the existing systems.
Openness
We share what we learn, including what works or has not worked, across borders and with partners.
Trust
We earn the confidence of governments through discretion, reliability and delivery over time.
Sustainability
We measure ourselves by the system capability that remains after we leave.
Our Network
An alliance of national education organisations
ATAE is an alliance of national education organisations. Each member stays nationally governed and African-owned. ATAE supports them to strengthen their work, share what they learn and agree common standards.
